Experience
This is my 21st year to teach in Desoto County schools.  I love my job and the people I work with!

Bio
I am a first generation American on my mother's side.  My mother was born and raised in England so that may explain my love of language. :)
My general philosophy toward teaching is the gift of love and learning is the greatest gift a teacher can bestow upon her students. Children need to feel welcome and comfortable. Since school is like a second home to students, my classroom environment is warm, caring and inviting. By the end of the year, students will have a better understanding of concepts and learning as a whole. They will have become better inquirers, looking at learning and life situations with a different perspective. Teaching a child to learn is much better than just teaching standards or to the test. I believe that if you teach a child to learn, they will continue to learn and become better students and better people.
