Hello my name is Mark Carter. I was born in Leesburg, Florida and moved to Tupelo, MS at a young age. I graduated from Tupelo High School in 2004. I went to the University of MS and graduated with a bachelors degree in 2008. I am happily married to Susannah Carter ,and we have 7 beautiful children together. I graduated from the University of MS in 2008 with a degree in Secondary Education- Social Studies. In 2017 I graduated with a masters degree in Education Leadership from Capella University. In 2018 I received an endorsement in Special Education.This is my 15th year overall of teaching, and 13th year teaching in Desoto County Schools. I spent my first two years teaching in Shelby County Schools. I spent seven years at Horn Lake Middle School teaching 7th and 8th grade social studies and coaching boys soccer. This will be my 6th year at CHMS. I will be teaching American History / P.E. and coaching boys soccer and football this year. I will also be serving as the athletic director.
